Every journey, however long starts with just one step. Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument in their younger years. Some parents do not see the point in spending lots of dollars on musical education whilst others simply do not have the funds to be able to do so.
Those who are lucky have parents who can clearly see the rewards of their children being exposed at an early age to music playing. Hand to eye co-ordination, the development of motor skills and learning about time management are just some of these advantages.
However, this situation sometimes changes as adulthood is reached and more funds and time are available to involve yourself in musical activities and uncover any, as yet, undiscovered talents.
